Manual preference changes the shortlist
If a manual transmission is essential, the Type R and manual GR Corolla are the relevant choices within this three-car comparison. Do not carry an older Golf R’s manual availability into the 2025 specification. Equally, do not repeat the old claim that every GR Corolla is manual-only: Toyota added an automatic option for 2025.
