What changed in the first half of 2026
Gasoline pickups were nearly flat at 127,546 registrations, while diesel registrations declined to 35,095. Hybrid pickups increased to 17,197 and represented about 9.4% of the segment. Battery-electric pickups accounted for 2,878 registrations, about 1.6%.
The mix matters more than a single quarterly headline. Hybrids gained 4,284 registrations while diesel and battery-electric models lost 8,908 and 3,700 respectively.
