What mileage and model year show
The sample spans 2018–2025 vehicles and roughly 11,700–150,700 kilometres. Newer, lower-mileage examples often ask more, but trim, equipment, condition and seller pricing also matter. The dataset is too small and uneven for a causal depreciation model.
Why this is not a depreciation percentage
Original MSRP was intentionally excluded from the calculation because trims, options, freight, incentives and model-year pricing differ. Asking price is also not the final sale price. Calling the gap “transaction-price depreciation” would overstate what the evidence supports.
